Now I am a boomerang, later I will be a frisbee

Speaking about growing up too fast. Recently, Elias told me: “Now I am a boomerang. When you throw me, I will still return to you. Later, I will become a frisbee. When you throw me, I will not come back.”
Oh man. How cruel of him.
After my whining, he said:”Ok, maybe I am a helicopter. So I will still come back sometimes. Or maybe I am a frisbee cum boomerang – whether I come back or not, depends on how you throw me.”
Oh boy….
I told him, I prefer him to be a helicopter. He shrugged and indicated he was fine with it.

Another time, he told me:”When the child is young, there is a line that joins the child to the mother. As the child grows up, the line will become thinner and thinner and one day it will break.”
…….
Thank you, my dear child, for preparing me for that day 🙂
