I knew your heart first
Last week I became ‘pregnant’. To help a friend, I agreed to act as a pregnant lady in a corporate video she is shooting. It was not very difficult for me because I am not camera-shy (发明星梦!), and I remember very well how it feels to have a baby in my womb.

Although it was a pretend pregnancy and it was tiring doing the same scene again and again so they could shoot it from different angles, I enjoyed rubbing my pretend tummy, and caressing my pretend baby.
I loved being pregnant. I fell in love with all my babies the moment I knew of their existence. I fell in love with their little hearts. It is like what this book says “I knew your heart first, beating beneath mine”
Twice, I knew of a baby but never got to see him/her. I wonder whether I will see them in heaven. But I will always remember them.The mother’s heart is always linked to the child’s heart. The mother will always see the good in the child’s heart like nobody does. Of course, the mother also knows of the possible evil in the child’s heart, like nobody does. But every mother believes that the good will overcome any evil, and that the child is ultimately good.
I never heard their heartbeats, but I knew their hearts were good, as only a mother would know, with confidence and undying devotion.
